Accommodation for 15 nights in Ascoli Piceno and workshop fee are included in the costs. All travelling expenses and visa fees will be covered by the participant.

Education Scope

Architecture Summer Workshop in Italy will give Yeditepe University, Architecture Department students a chance to collaborate with students of SAAD – School of Architecture and Design, University of Camerino, in an intensive 2-week program.

Education Content

The design workshop will focus on the project of public space as an opportunity to redefine the relationship between local communities and tourists, as a tool capable of activating economic processes within unproductive territories or residual areas.

Who can apply

Undergraduate students from Yeditepe University, Department of Architecture

Students who've completed ARCH 254, Architectural Design II course can apply but preference priority will be given to students who've completed ARCH 353, Architectural Design III course.

Application Requirements

Students are expected to provide;

1. A letter of intent (a pdf file, in A4 format, in English)

2. A portfolio (a pdf file, A3 or A4 format, in English, max. 7 Mb) in the following order;

- Cover page with the applicant’s full name, student number, e-mail address (which will be main source of communication), mobile phone number, and nationality.

- Up to 5 pages consisted of applicant’s Design Studio projects or works from other courses, workshops, etc. One project/work should be presented per page. For each project, the applicant has to credit the name of the course and course instructor.

Interview

31 January 2018 (Wednesday)

All applicants will be notified through e-mail about place and time of interview.

Applicants are expected to bring hard copies of application requirements and an up-to-date transcript for the interview.

The interview will be in English.
