Since the beginning of the 21st century, more than half of the world's population has been living in cities. Urbanization processes affecting the whole world have brought about the passing of cities through detailed planning and design stages and have gained a strategic position for urban land use. All these developments point to the need for cities with high living standards to move with interdisciplinary profiles. The Department of Urban Design and Landscape Architecture has emerged as a result of the adoption of a new approach to understanding, which emphasizes the common points of Urban Design and Landscape Architecture, based on the idea that the landscape is a whole. The fact that Yeditepe University's location is Turkey's largest metropolitan area will enable students to take a comprehensive approach to the disciplines of Urban Design and Landscape Architecture throughout their undergraduate education and provide solutions for their graduation.
The department graduates are Urban Designers and Landscape Architects who can meet the needs of modern cities and develop new living areas. Local governments can take part in municipalities and official establishments, as well as urban design, landscape architecture and architecture bureaus, planning bureaus, sapling production and breeding facilities. He will also attend graduates who have evaluated their savings as an entrepreneur in the free sector in Turkey.
