Course Objectives: 
The goal of this course is to provide the knowledge of the architectural sketch as a fundamental tool to analyze existing buildings as well to design new ones.
Course Content: 
The course will be divided in four sections: 

1_Learning from Masters_ students will analyze sketching techniques developed by modern and contemporary architects (Le Corbusier, Ludwig Mies Van der Rohe, Sedat Hakki Eldem, Aldo Rossi, Alvaro Siza, Renzo Piano, Frank Gehry, Peter Zumthor, Alberto Campo Baeza, Han Tümertekin, etc.) 

2_Learning from Architecture_ students will analyze a project of one of the master previously studied sketching all parts from the context to construction details.

3_Learning from the City_ students will experience how to sketch real buildings not only their perspective but imagine also typical architectural representations (plan, sections, elevations etc.) like did a young Le Corbusier in its Istanbul trip.

4_Design Sketching_ Students will sketch their projects from design studio class improving the control of spaces and structures designed.
