Course Objectives:
This course aims to use the knowledge of history of design. Design field uses structures, ideas, forms and theories from the past, references to the past. Reflections on the past all continue to play an important role. Existing forms, and established actor networks are historical and cultural frameworks that shape new designs and influence technological developments. This course aims to deal with the ideas of important design periods and industrial designers and to transfer them to the students in an established way.

The stages of industry and design from the beginning to the present and their effects on today's production and plastic arts. Periods from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance and before the Industrial Revolution; handling tools in terms of periods, characteristics and production cultures. Addressing the characteristics and production understandings of the pre- and post-industrial revolution. rationalization. bauhaus Contribution to new inventions and design processes. Important design concepts of the 20th century and their effects on today's art and design. Historical events, facts and developments related to general design schools and approaches.
